About the article: The Halifax Guide by Here & There Magazine celebrates the food, art, fashion, and culture found in the capital city of Nova Scotia, Canada. I joined the project to capture a seafood culture that celebrates the “dock-to-dish” dining experience. Menus at top restaurants feature bacon wrapped scallops, seafood chowder, and fresh oysters resting in salty brine. Local cuisine celebrates the fruits of the sea and the Nova Scotians who put it on the table.

About the article: Like many people, I wasn’t able to travel outside of my home province of Nova Scotia during the pandemic. To satisfy the travel bug, I decided to explore the province and fell in love with the Bay of Fundy. With the highest tides in the world, beautiful red sand, and some of the most unique landscapes I have ever encountered, the region gave me a new appreciation from my home and the people who live around me.
